Snapchat To Launch Augmented Reality Art Platform

Last year, snapchat acquired an augmented startup called Cimagine. Using that, Snapchat is planning to launch its augmented reality art platform that will feature arts by some of the great artists like Jeff Koons and much more. The details about this augmented art platform are out and people want to more about it. With the art platform, users will be able to pin art to any specific location they want and they will be able to see it when they will keep their phones in the correct location. The feature will be introduced with the Koon’s art from around the world like Sydney, Paris and Las Vegas.

According to the reports, Snapchat is collaborating with the artists to publish their art pieces on snapchat’s augmented reality platform. Snapchat has also launched a countdown clock to 3 PM over a photo of the central park and New York's skyline on the site art.snapchat.com. Group of technical people have decoded the meaning of clock and found out it is related to CEO Evan Spiegel's talk a Vanity Fair’s New establishment summit. The feature can be used to create animations of whatever you see through the rear-facing camera. Snapchat is trying its best to compete Instagram and Facebook. After so much innovation, snapchat is still behind its competitors.

The reason being is that they copy snapchat’s new features as soon as it launches them. By taking inspiration from facebook, Snapchat has launched the 3D world lenses which can be used for adding floating animations. Snapchat debuted such a cool feature called ‘Snap Map’. This new feature lets you know what your followers are up. Snapchat rolled out this feature on Wednesday. It allows you to easily share your location with your followers. The SanpChat has designed a detailed step-by-step guide for the user. Snap maps allow you to plot the location stories of your friends on a map which makes it easy for other people to see. With this feature people would easily know what people are sharing. As of now, Snapchat is the only social media channel left which is not interested in the paid ads as of now. This map will allow users to look what's happening other people’s life. They can look into where their friends are located across the globe. When you will open the app, a location will get updated automatically.

According to a survey, snap chat users were waiting for a long time to see what their friends are doing. The user can click on the apps screen and then drag the map to see where people are posting stories. It is also useful to see concerts, events, and other such location based events. This new map feature will even inspire you to go on an adventure. If this location sharing thought doesn't feel right to you, then you can go into the Ghost Mode. This mode will help you when you don't want to share your location with your friend. The user will even get the option with whom you want to share your location with. So you can either share it with everyone in your list or with certain friends. To start using Snap Map, open your camera. Then you can look around to see what your friends are doing and where are they around the globe. By clicking the Bitmoji Avtar or your friends, you will get their location and what they are up to. You will also be able to send them messages. 

Snap Map has also announced that it won't be running ads alongside stories. It will not allow brands to promote. The company is also unveiled another called Actionmojis. This new type of bitmoji which is created by analyzing the data on a user’s location. It will come up on the map when you want to share your location and it will disappear when you are offline for the longer period. Snap map comes into existence for improving connections between people.
