The company silently added new feature, without anyone’s knowledge. Through iCloud backup, the contacts and messages are saved on the Apple servers. With this update, WhatsApp became more safe and now icloud backup will be encrypted. Adding encryption to the iCloud backup will help in preventing data privacy breaches which is a major loophole.
