Everything You Need To Know About The Files New App On iOS11

iOS11 files app
Ios unveils its new file system for iPhone and iPad. The new files app will already be preinstalled with iOS11. This time it comes with the delete option which was not available before. This new feature is much better than the basic file picker and replaces the iCloud Drive app. It lets you organize, open, delete, find all the files on your device. The file system will be a central place from through which you can access all the other files. Files app experience is very much similar to the Finder on the Mac. It offers drag and drop feature to transfer files and folder. On the Files system main screen, there is a list of sources on the left and files and folders on the right. You can drag and of the folder or a file to the Favorite section. Apple’s new files app will bring together various storage apps like OneDrive, Dropbox, Box and Google Drive. As with its drag and drop feature, things will be a lot easier. It will keep everything in just one place.

Files app is very much similar to the classic file system. All the files and the folders will be in the grid view by default, but you can change it to the list view as it will show you more details including, modified date, a size of the file and download shortcut.
You can create new space just by clicking on any empty space and you will also get the same folder structure here. You can create the new folder, even sort them by Size, Tagg, name, and date. Whenever you want, you can drag any file and put it in another folder of your choice.  It even lets you drag multiple files at the same time using multitouch. On long pressing the file, more options will appear such as, Copy, move, share, info, delete and tags.

There is a permanent search bar at the top through which you can search the subfolders, but you cannot search within files as of now. The search feature lets you find any file instantly if you know the name of that particular file. It provides you the sharing feature which lets you share the file with other people and they can even edit it.
