Through the use of Automatic Content Recognition technology (ACR), Tv will recognise the shows you're watching on cable box, antennas or satellite box.
It can see what users are watching through its smart TV interface already based on that Roku will suggest you additional viewing options. Suppose you are watching an old episode, Roku will give you suggestion which are in the form of pop ups. It allows you watch an in-progress show from the beginning. It provides you recommendations for similar shows you are watching, or helps you find episodes of series.
The best part of the update is, you can watch a show without the interruption of commercial breaks. It is bringing more enjoyment to the user experience. However, if you are not comfortable with the idea of being tracked, you can disable the tracking any moment.
