Google AI Made Its Own Child AI That Outruns Itself

Google AI Made Its Own Child AI That Outruns Itself
Artificial Intelligence is progressing at a rapid pace. Owing to its importance, Google has also been working on making AI tools to keep up with the pace. It has unveiled an AI system which has created  its own Child AI which is better than its human-made systems.

In essence, it can replicate itself and has the potential to compete with other man-made AI tools . This offspring AI has also been successful to outperform its parent AI (AutoML project by Google).

In May 2017, Google made an announcement that AutoML project had what it takes to create its own AIs. AutoML is an AI tool that acts as a controller neural network. NaSNet is an AI that was created by its parent AutoML earlier this year. Now, they have proved that it is better than its parent AI. AutoML of Google uses reinforced learning to make NaSNet, better in doing task.

NaSNet can identify and recognise objects such as people and cars, backpacks, handbags, traffic lights etc while watching real time video with a significantly higher level of accuracy than a neural network designed by a human.

And, researchers have found that NASNet was 82.7 percent exact at identifying/detecting pictures on ImageNet's approval set. NASNet's outcomes are 1.2 percent superior to any beforehand distributed outcomes. It tells that NASNet is better as it has outperformed the majority of existing computer vision applications.

NASNet  is a visual machine learning AI. It could be used to help visually impaired people to regain sight. Such types of AIs could also be useful for designers to enhance self-driving car technologies. Thus, if it is fast in recognizing objects coming into its path, it will be equally faster to how to respond to them. Therefore, it could be in use of increasing car safety.

While such AIs are of great help to the society, we cannot deny the fact that it also raises serious concerns. What if, it becomes so smart that it could create hundreds of such AIs and what it can do with it. For instance, imagine a scenario in which AutoML makes AIs so quick that human culture can't keep up with. But NASNet could securely be applied in automated surveillance systems in the near future.

Google Home Mini
Are you planning to bring Google assistant into your Home? There are the variety of smart speakers in the market. Google has currently launched Google Home Mini. The Google Home Mini is all new smart speaker which has a better sound and great looks as compared to other smart speakers. Besides its great looks and sound system, google home mini needs lots of improvements and innovations if it wants to compete Alexa which is the virtual, voice-activated assistant in the Amazon speaker. Google home Mini is surely a very affordable smart speaker which costs only $49.

The all-new Google Home MIni does the variety of information like controlling your videos and music, managing variety of smartphones, knowing the weather forecast and much more.  It is one of the most stylish looking speakers. It has joined Home and Home Max smart speaker, Android smartphones that have access to your google profiles. It lets you chat with the characters of Stranger Things. It has four LEDs at the top and it lights up automatically if someone speaks to it. Google is trying hard to compete with all other smart speakers like Echo Dot which is extremely a great product. with its new product.

The Google Home Mini emphasizes smart over a speaker. It is a WiFi connected smart speaker which looks like fabric covered cushion. It comes in the variety of colors like grey, black, coral with plastic base and rubber foot. The rubber at the base helps it from sliding. Seeing all the features and specifications of the Google Home Mini, we can say that the company tried to make the replica of Amazon Echo Dot but it lacks line-out jack. Though it can play music it does not sound as good as Echo Dot. To connect with an external speaker you would need chromecast Audio. The company wanted to create a product which should be stylish, small and yet cheap. So, we are sure they have achieved what they wanted.

The New Google Maps Update Lets You Find Parking Spot

The New Google Maps Update Lets You Find Parking Spot
In the bustling streets and busy roads, it’s never easy to find a parking spot. We often see people struggling to find a parking space in the metropolitan cities like New York, L.A and Chicago. This is perhaps the most annoying thing to do especially when you are already getting late. Google Maps however, has something up for you that can make it a lot easier. The new Maps update allows Android users to find a nearby parking place on the go.

While navigating towards a destination, the app shows you a list of all the parking lots and garages that fall in the vicinity. You can find this list by tapping on the newly added Find Parking option on the Directions card. Once you have found a parking spot, it is automatically added to your trip. After you have safely parked your car, it also shows you the walking directions towards your destination. With this new update, Google has also revamped the Parking Difficulty Icons that were introduced earlier this year in 25 top metropolitan cities of the world. This stunning feature lets you check the availability of parking space on a location even before you are headed to that particular place. You can also save your parking location on the app just like before.

Support And Availability
The Parking Difficulty feature was launched by Google for its Maps application earlier this year in the month of January. It is available on Android and iOS platforms. The feature was initially launched in the United States but Google has now expanded to 25 other cities. These are some of the world’s most popular metropolitan cities like London, Manchester, Madrid, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Vancouver, Rome, Paris, Milan and Rio De Janeiro.
On contrary to this, Find Parking feature is launched quite recently and is available only in the 25 cities of the United States including New York, Boston, Denver, Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit, Houston, Orlando, San Diego and San Francisco. Also, it has only arrived on the Android platform as of now and it’s still uncertain when this would be coming to the iOS version of the app.

How It Works?
To provide a high level of accuracy, Google is using advanced Machine Learning algorithms and historical parking data. Based on that, it makes highly accurate predictions about the availability of a free parking spot. The parking difficulty depends on various factors like the type of area, time, crowd density of the area and the real-time traffic data gathered from the drivers roaming in that area at a particular time.
